25 Tips to Help You Become More Patient and Less Judgmental
In our fast-paced, constantly connected world, it seems like patience is a virtue that is quickly becoming extinct. People are frequently judgmental of one another and quick to anger.
Just two nights ago, we went out for a meal at one of the local restaurants that we’d never tried before. My husband really enjoyed his ribeye steak.
When the owner asked us if everything was okay with our meal, my husband answered, “I’ve lived in this area for 20 years, and I can honestly say this is the best steak I’ve ever had.”
A lady sitting at an adjacent table was quick to chime in and say, “I don’t know where you buy your meat from then if that’s how you feel.”
That just wasn’t necessary! The conversation didn’t even involve her. She was rude to make such a derogatory comment.
Then, I became annoyed with her for criticizing the compliment that my husband had paid to the restaurant owner. It was like a snowball gaining emotional momentum, which nearly ruined our meal.
Why are people today so critical and judgmental? What has gone wrong in our society?
