Do you think that some people are just born smart and talented, while others are not? If so, then you have a fixed mindset. On the other hand, someone with a growth mindset believes that anyone can improve with enough effort. Which one of these two mindsets do you have? This article will cover the benefits of having a growth mindset and how to change your mindset if you have a fixed one.

Fixed Mindset

You believe that your talents and intelligence are predetermined when you have a fixed mindset. You might think that you can either do something or you can’t. You probably don’t try new things because you’re afraid of failing. After all, if you’re not good at something, why bother trying?

You believe that some people are just born talented, and there’s nothing you can do to improve. You might also think that intelligence is fixed and that you can’t become more intelligent.

These beliefs limit your potential because you’re not willing to put in the effort to improve. You’re unwilling to try new things or take risks because you don’t want to fail.
