What Is Your Personal Gift to the World?
And are you delivering it?
“The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” — Pablo Picasso
I have often struggled with this question over the years. I have a deep-seated feeling that I have a much bigger purpose in life to fulfill than I have so far.
Where I’ve gone wrong is to think that if it’s not going to make me money or make me famous, then it’s not my purpose. That couldn’t be further from the truth.
Finding your purpose is much simpler than that. What you’re interested in and what you love is a clue to your gift. You don’t have to be saving the planet or be interviewed by Oprah to find your gift. You can make a difference just by showing up in the world in a certain way.
One thing that may be stopping you from living a life on purpose is your fearful and judgemental thinking. “Who am I to do this? I’m not good enough, rich enough, and pretty enough.”
You create your reality with your thoughts. You are unconsciously and unintentionally thinking in a certain way. If you don’t see the connection between how you’re thinking and the life you’re creating, you’ll just continue down this same path.
